Introduction: Digital Means a system of receiving and sending information as a series of the numbers one and zero, showing that an electronic signal is there or is not there. ‘Digital Bangladesh’ is now-a-days a buzz word to the people of all classes in Bangladesh. It means digitizing Bangladesh by ensuring an ICT based society where information will be available on line and where all possible tasks of the government and other organizations will be performed using digital technology and information.
Aims of Digital Bangladesh: Bangladesh is an independent country. She has got her freedom in 1971. But still she beset with many problems like poverty, overpopulation, unemployment, corruption, food deficit, natural calamities, power crisis and so on. Considering all these, the present government has aimed at making a Digital Bangladesh to overcome most of these problems. The motto of digital Bangladesh is to establish ICT based digital governance, e-commerce, e-agriculture, e-production, e-education, etc emphasizing the around development of the country and the nation.
Benefits: The benefit of digital Bangladesh is a lot. If we can establish a digital Bangladesh, corruption will be drastically reduced by ensuring peoples time and money and will make people more enterprising and thus will remove unemployment problem. It will make people think globally and connect them with the whole world economically, politically, socially, academically and even culturally. It will open a new era for the people to improve their conditions. It will also improve banking and financial, activates. Money transfer and transaction of business could be done within seconds by clicking the mouse of a computer. Agriculture, health, education, commerce – all sectors will be highly benefited by making Bangladesh a digital Bangladesh.
Implementation: For implementing this dream of digital Bangladesh, the ruling government has to take certain activities. First of all, electricity supply has to be ensured. We have to develop computer network infrastructures throughout the country. We also have to train our people to acquire ICT skill and ensure equitable access to digital governance services by all strata of the society. So, to build our country a digital one, the present government’s commitment and people’s co-operation are badly required. Government should take steps to spread ICT education throughout the country. Our education should be computer based in the educational institution; students should get easy access to the computer.

If the government keeps this commitment, our dream of a digital Bangladesh will be fulfilled and our country will be able to make progress in all sectors rapidly.
